RESPONSIBILITIES: The Housing Specialist performs duties to assist in the management and administration of the Housing Choice Voucher Program. They will be primarily responsible for program participants related to continued eligibility in compliance with Federal Regulations, PHA Administrative Plan, and standard operating procedures. Ability to determine and document program eligibility, program compliance, and contractual relationships with owners/management companies. Responsible for accurate and complete files/transactions, resolution of program inquires and timely responsiveness to those inquiries.

REQUIREMENTS: The HS will be required to perform complex customer service/relations, primarily through email and phone, as well as process data and complete required essential duties related to the Housing Choice Voucher rental assistance program.

The successful candidate will be a positive team player with excellent people skills and work professionally with all clients and co-workers with a positive attitude while motivating and influencing others. The ability to use Excel, Word and other related software, ability to coordinate, schedule, organize, plan, prioritize, complete work related tasks with a high level of accuracy and efficiency and ability to work independently and research problems using tools provided. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

High School/GED and minimum of 1 year experience in assisted housing, social service, supported services or another related field.

DETAILS: This is a full time position working 36 hours per week at the Appleton City or Raymore office. Hourly Wage/Salary: $18/hr.
