PROGRAMS AND POLICY DIRECTOR

RESPONSIBILITIES: The main responsibility is to support the New Growth team to help implement the programs for the Missouri Farmers Union designing and coordinating a program to assist in advancing equitable local food systems.
REQUIREMENTS: Experience of working with farmers/agriculture, rural communities, food systems development. Proficient at computer work (i.e., Microsoft suite, typing, etc.). Willing to travel throughout Missouri, excellent facilitation, communication, and building relationships.
High School Diploma, Bachelor’s degree or 2 plus years’ experience in an equivalent field.
Be a positive team player with excellent people skills. Have the ability to communicate and work professionally with all farmers, clients and co-workers with a positive and caring attitude.
DETAILS: This is a full time position working 36 hours per week Monday thru Thursday, 9 hour days.
Salary: $4,583.33/month. Starting date: ASAP. Application deadline: Open until position filled. Grade: 6
