Serving 16 Missouri Counties
The New Growth Transit service area includes the nine-county West Central Missouri Community Action Agency region in west central Missouri (Bates, Benton, Cass, Cedar, Henry, Hickory, Morgan, St. Clair, and Vernon). Barton, Camden, Dallas, Jasper, and Polk counties recently became NGT affiliates, and a related program is operated by Jefferson Franklin Community Action Corporation in Jefferson and Franklin Counties in east central Missouri. Plans for expansion to other parts of the state are currently under consideration.

Our volunteer drivers help their neighbors and community! They use their personal vehicle and choose when they want to donate their time. Drivers are reimbursed at the Federally approved rate, $.67/mile.

Driver FAQ’s
Reimbursed mileage does not affect drivers living on a fixed income (Reimbursement is not taxable income)
All drivers are trained and certified
After receiving certification, drivers are covered by CIMA Volunteer Insurance
Drivers choose their own schedule – accept only the rides that meet their availability and preferred location

Rides are provided/scheduled based on Driver Availability
Driver training includes learning about driver notepads and software.
