(LIHEAP) Specialist (Seasonal)

RESPONSIBILITIES:  The LIHEAP Specialist is responsible for assisting and performing duties in the day-to-day operations of the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program for the Community Services unit.  These duties include but are not limited to data entry and processing of applications, filing, mail, and communicating with clients by phone, text, or email. 

REQUIREMENTS:  High school diploma or equivalent.  Knowledge of data entry on a computer.  Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office and possess the ability to use a variety of software applications including unit specific software.  Ability to use basic office equipment (i.e., phone systems, copying machines, scanner/printers, and computers). 

Be a positive team player with excellent people skills.  Have the ability to communicate and work professionally with all clients, co-workers, and the public with a positive attitude while motivating and inspiring others.

This position requires maintaining a valid driver’s license and current auto liability insurance at all times.

DETAILS:  Hourly Wage:  $15.35-$21.00.  This is a full time, seasonal position working up to 36 hours per week at our Appleton City office.  Starting date: September 1, 2026.  Application deadline: Open until position is filled.  Grade: 4.
